ELISABETTA MATELLI

Full professor of Classical Philology, she teaches Rhetoric and Forms of Persuasion and History of Greek and Latin Theatre in the Faculties of Economics and Literature and Philosophy at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
In 2002, she started the Ancient Dramaturgy Workshop for students of the Faculty of Literature.
In 2012, she created the "Corso di Alta Formazione Teatro Antico in Scena", in 2019 "La Parola Alata. Dizione ed Eufonia", and in 2022 "Processo simulato".
Founding member and President of the non-profit association Kerkís. Teatro Antico In Scena, she promotes its events and is responsible for scientific content, with particular attention and care for dramaturgical interpretations.
In 2022, the association began a collaboration with the Milan-Opera Prison Theatre, where it offers traditional classical performances by young actors.
Since 2001, he has been promoting educational interaction projects with secondary schools. He conceived and directs the THAUMA Festival, which, promoted by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, has been organising competitions for classical theatre performances and workshops in Italian secondary schools since 2015.
