A research project dedicated to one of the most powerful mythological figures, Prometheus, which explores the study of theatrical masks.

The project, funded by the European Union, the Ministry of University and Research and the Government Italia Domani, in partnership with the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and in collaboration with the Association Kerkis. Teatro Antico in scena tackles one of the most emblematic myths of European identity, that of the Titan Prometheus who, challenging the tyranny of Zeus, gives mankind a double gift: blind hope and fire, which is the basis of all the arts that have made human civilisation possible.

The show, produced by Kerkís, features masks experimentally reconstructed from digital scans of the original artefacts in the collection on display at the Bernabò Brea Aeolian Archaeological Museum in Lipari (Aeolian Islands Archaeological Park).
