The performance, held under the academic and scientific direction of Professor Elisabetta Matelli, represents a moment of deepl reflection and growth on the ever-relevant theme of nonviolent communication. It emerges from the reworking of personal experiences shared by the detainees who took part in the project.
The Course exlored rhetorical question with ethical, relational, psychological and legal implications. Partecipants were guided in recreating scenes through role-playing exercises aimed at representing and undertanding those moments that either fuel or defuse violent form of communication. Through shared reflection and pratical experimentation, they investigated how words give shape to thoughts, how thoughts can in turn be transformed by certain words, and how our actions may themselves become unspoken words.
